Uttar Pradesh college students will be promoted, final year exams will be held in August

Recently in Uttar Pradesh, College student’s examinations for 2021 have been canceled and due to that state government has decided to give exemption (promote) the students which are around 30 lakh undergraduates and postgraduate. Since the government has canceled the examination they have also announced that undergraduate first and second-year students will be promoted without any examination. Same for the postgraduate first-year students will not be giving any exam and will be promoted to the next year. But for the final year students of undergraduate and postgraduate will have to give the examination. So the examination for the final year students will be held in August and might be postponed if only if the condition goes wrong in the state. Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Dinesh Sharma clarified it.

The main thing is that due to the Covid-19 many universities in 2020 have to cancel all the examinations which were going to happen. Because of that situation, first-year undergraduate examinations were not conducted in the last session. The students were promoted without any examinations by some universities to the second year. But now second-year undergraduate students will have to give the examination which will be conducted in under guidelines from the state government with respective universities.
