Big news has come about GATE 2022 exam. The students had filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding the postponement of the examination, on which the Supreme Court gave its verdict. SC said that the GATE exam to be held two days later on February 5 will not be postponed, postponing the exam will increase the problems of the students.
The petition was filed on behalf of advocate Pallal Mongia. The Supreme Court also agreed to hear the matter, the bench of Chief Justice NV Ramana, Justice AS Bopanna and Justice Hima Kohli took a speedy decision while hearing it soon.
It was said on behalf of advocate Pallav Mongia who filed the petition that the GATE exam is going to be held on Saturday, February 5. 9 lakh students will be involved in this. The officials have not issued any clear guidelines regarding COVID-19 for conducting the exam. Due to lack of guidelines regarding the examination, there is a situation of confusion among the students.
This will lead to unnecessary classification among the students taking the exam. There is confusion about which student can sit in the examination legally and medically and which cannot. In the guidelines, such asymptomatic students have been allowed to take the exam, who have minor symptoms.
GATE exam is conducted to test the knowledge and understanding of undergraduate level subjects in engineering and science of the students for admission to masters program in engineering and recruitment in certain PSUs. Direct recruitments are done in many jobs of the students who pass this exam.
Let us tell you that the GATE exam will be conducted on February 5, 6, 12 and 13. The exam will be held in two shifts. The first shift will run from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
