The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the reopening of the registration window for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2023 for Undergraduates (NEET-UG) 2023. The decision comes after the agency received several requests from students who were unable to complete their registration due to various unavoidable reasons.
NEET UG 2023 Registration Window Extends
The NEET UG 2023 registration window will be open until April 13, 2023, and interested candidates can fill the application form on the official website – neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can also pay the fee until April 13, 11:59 PM. The exam is scheduled to be held in 499 cities in pen and paper mode on May 7, 2023, from 2 pm to 5 pm.
In an official notification, the NTA stated, “Meanwhile, representations have been received from candidates to re-open the registration window to apply for NEET (UG) – 2023 as they could not complete their registration due to various unavoidable reasons. In order to support the community of students, it has been decided to re-open the registration for receiving online application form for NEET UG – 2023.”
NTA also urged candidates to fill in their details carefully as this is a one-time opportunity and no improvement opportunities will be available in the future. The examining authority also clarified that the reopening of the registration window is for candidates who could not complete their registration earlier and for those who want to apply as fresh candidates for NEET (UG) – 2023.
It is worth noting that around 239 students had requested the NTA to reopen the NEET UG 2023 registration period for two consecutive days as their application form could not be filled due to payment failure, document uploading errors, and server issues.
This decision by the NTA is a relief to many aspiring students who were unable to register for the NEET UG 2023 exam due to various issues. Candidates who missed the previous deadline can now utilize this opportunity to register and appear for the exam.
