The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is set to announce the counselling dates for the NEET-UG 2023. Following the declaration of results by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 13, eligible candidates are advised to register online at mcc.nic.in to participate in the counselling process. The NEET-UG counselling, organized by the MCC, will allocate seats for the All India Quota (AIQ) in government colleges and for deemed or central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC/AFMS, and BSc Nursing programs based on NEET scores.

The counselling process for NEET AIQ 2023 will be divided into four rounds, including round 1, round 2, mop-up, and stray vacancy. Depending on seat availability, the number of rounds may increase. Seat allotment will be determined by factors such as NEET 2023 rank, candidate preferences, seat availability, and applicable reservations.
Through the NEET(UG) counselling, aspiring students can secure admissions to various programs, including 99,013 MBBS, 52,720 AYUSH, 27,868 BDS, 1,899 AIIMS, 525 BVSc, AH seats, and 249 JIPMER seats.
NEET-UG 2023 Counselling: How to Register
To participate in the counselling rounds, eligible candidates must follow these steps for registration:
Step 1: Access the MCC’s official website by navigating to mcc.nic.in.
Step 2: On the website’s main page, locate and select the tab for online registration.
Step 3: Enter your NEET Roll Number, password, and security pin.
Step 4: Fill in the required details, such as your name, registration number, personal and academic information, and details mentioned on your NEET result.
Step 5: Complete the payment process as directed and submit the registration form. Remember to keep a printout of the registration form for future reference.
Documents Required
After successful registration, candidates must carry the following original and photocopies of documents while reporting to the allotted institute for further admission procedures:
- NEET admit card 2023
- NEET result 2023
- Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
- Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
- Provisional allotment letter
- Government-issued photo ID proof
- It is recommended to provide six to eight passport-sized photographs, preferably the same ones that were submitted with the NEET application form.
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Disability Certificate (if applicable)
This year, out of the total 20.87 lakh applicants, approximately 20.38 lakh candidates appeared for NEET. Of those who appeared for NEET UG, 11,45,976 candidates have successfully qualified the examination.
As the NEET-UG 2023 counselling dates are yet to be announced, candidates are advised to stay updated through the official MCC website and regularly check for any new notifications.
