NEET PG 2023 Postponement: The NEET PG 2023 entrance exam to be held on March 5 will not be postponed by many doctors across the country. While hearing the matter, the Supreme Court dismissed all the related petitions. Now as per the schedule, NEET PG 2023 will be conducted on March 5, 2023, only. During the hearing of the case, AST Bhati, on behalf of the government, also informed that it has planned to conduct the counseling of NBE NEET PG 2023 on July 15. The decision in respect of candidates whose internship has not been completed will be provisional.
ASG Bhati said that we do not have the date for the exam in the near future with the partner agencies conducting the exam. After the pandemic, we are trying to correct the timetable.
Keeping the government’s side, ASG Aishwarya Bhati said that 2 lakh 3 thousand candidates had applied for this examination through a single window. The exam date was announced 6 months back and today as per the scheduled schedule, the admit cards for NEET PG 2023 were also released.
Told the court that two lakh candidates would appear for the exam. Now there is a gap of 5 months between the exam and counseling. Also there are many candidates who have recently completed their internship.
The petitioner doctors say that the NBE had initially fixed the cut-off date for NEET PG as March 31, 2023, but it was extended till June 30, 2023, by issuing a notice on January 13. After this, by issuing a notice on February 7, the cutoff date of NEET PP exam 2023 has been extended till August 11. The petitioners say that when the cutoff date of the NEET PG exam has been extended till August 11, then why the exam is being conducted on the earlier schedule?
If the exam is held now on 5th March fresh candidates who have recently qualified for this exam will not get enough time to prepare. Doctors participating in NEET PG demand that the cutoff date of the PG exam has been extended till August 11, so the exam should also be extended for three months. 2.09 lakh students will appear in NEET PG 2023 exam.
