NEET 2022: Medical aspirants have started an online petition to postpone NEET UG until August

Medical aspirants throughout India are requesting a postponement of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), claiming that the current dates are causing them a lot of stress. NEET UG 2022 should be held in August, according to students. Following a series of online protests, a group of students has created an online petition to request a deferment.

“We are suffering from extreme mental stress and strain because we have so little time to study for the exam that will define our future,” the web petition reads. It has already received over 1000 signatures supporting the cause just a few hours after it was started.

NEET 2022 Postponed or Not?

“NEET-UG 2021 counselling just finished in March, and NEET-UG 2022 is slated for July. How will we be able to revise such a large syllabus in only three months? In addition, other major tests such as the Board Exams, CUCET, and JEE Mains are scheduled at the same time. Imagine the stress and anxiety that all of these important exams, one after the other, are causing us as students! “Does this seem like a reasonable decision?” the petitioner said.

“The NEET-UG 2022 exam will determine the future of lakhs of Indian students; please assist us so that we can give our best!” the statement continued.

NEET 2022 will take place on July 17th. On June 15, the CBSE 12th exam will be completed. Students believe that they have far less time to prepare as a result of this. Furthermore, dates for other admission exams, such as JEE Main, have been postponed due to protests, even though several attempts at the exam are required. Students believe that there is only one attempt for NEET, thus their demands should be heard as well. Students must use hashtags such as #postponeneetug2022, and #ReschduleNEETUG2022, to express their demands on social media channels such as Twitter.
