JEE Main 2022 Exam for admission in engineering will be conducted only 2 times this year. Last year this exam was conducted for four sessions i.e. students got 4 attempts but this time it is being said that students will get only 2 attempts. According to the Times of India report, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to conduct the entrance exam only in April and May. The exam date (JEE Main 2022 Exam Date) can be released soon. The education ministry had decided to increase the number of attempts to four from 2021.
The number of attempts for a student was increased from one to two in 2019 and from 2021 to four and some of the results show how taking multiple attempts in this high pressure exam has benefited the candidates immensely. The best of four attempts were considered as the candidate’s final score in 2021.
The primary reason for offering four attempts last year was Covid-19, the official said. “The situation was different because of the second wave. However, things have improved and based on the prevailing situation it has been decided that two attempts will be equally beneficial. Registration for the exam will start by the end of this month.
At the same time, as per initial discussions between MoE and Health Ministry officials, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Graduation) or NEET-UG exam will be conducted between the third week of June and the first week of July.
